
As bloggered in a previous post … animators Stephane Aubier and Vincent Patar have been working on a feature length version of A Town Called Panic. Well now they have finished the animation side and here is a list of what goes into making a feature stop motion animation.. for them anyway.
260 days of preparation and shooting
144 000 images constituting 915 plans
40 external hard drives of 500 gigabytes each
100 kilos of vis
200 litres of wood glue
24 000 sticks a skewer (for attaching decorations and supporting figures)
60 kilos of plasticine (to fix the figurines on the sets)
45 000 miniature bricks
1200 blades cuter
300 sticks of hot glue
1500 figures (including 300 “Cow-Boy”, 300 “Indian” and 250 “horse”)
280 gallons of latex
1000 clips linen
2 semi-trailers (to move the sets of Brussels in Luxembourg)
300 kilos of coffee
3000 Sneakers, 3000 Leo and 200 packets of hundred Wafers
… 1 litre of super-glu
