Michael Kupperman : Tales Designed To Thrizzle

September 14, 2008

I know .. I know … it’s my second post in two weeks! But I’ve been distracted by the latest edition of ‘Tales Designed To Thrizzle’ by Michael Kupperman.

If your not familiar with Michael Kupperman’s comics … you should be, they are brilliantly surreally funnily bizarrely hilariously good. I always tend to be reduced to tears, but I like his kind of humour. Reminds me of Monty Python in many ways …. and I love Python.

Find out more on Michael Kupperman’s web site HERE (although nothing has happened on the site as of yet, but I thought I’d put in the link anyways).

You can buy the latest ‘Tales Designed To Thrizzle’ (and past releases) through Fantagraphics books web site HERE.

Born Standing Up

January 29, 2008

Just finished reading the brilliant book ‘Born Standing Up‘ by Steve Martin.. It follows his rise to stand up stardom, then how and why he had to stop. A fantastic insight into what it’s like being a stand up comedian.
