I’ve literally just watched the last episode of the hugely enjoyable Battlestar Galactica … how will I fill the inevitable emptiness the series will leave in my life? Why, I’ll buy all the props from the series and create my own Battlestar!
Thought I’d do an update on my progress with SOTS although there’s unfortunately been a bit of a set back.. after filming a big scene involving a supper pan (which is incredibly tricky and time consuming as all fellow animators will know), I noticed that there was a little black spot in the top of the screen. This meant there must be some naughty dust somewhere in my lens, so I decided to take my Nicon D 40 to a camera specialist for lens cleaning. Below is a picture I took so the staff in the camera shop would know what I was talking about..
I know it’s hard to see but there is a little dark spot near the top and just off to the right from the centre. When there’s a moving image behind .. it’s very distracting .. believe me.
Anyways …. it’s all clean now and I’m back on track with the animatings. I’m still working on the Unzie organ shots at the mo’. I apologize again that there are no stills from the filming side, but like I said before – I don’t want to give too much away.
Adam West puts across his take on Christopher Nolan’s vision of Batman saying… ”I’ve only seen bits and pieces of [Nolan's Batman movies]. There’s an enormous amount of effort and time and money that goes into the making of them, but it’s a different generation. They’re a different kind of thing than ours was. They’re dark, gothic, sinister, full of explosions. We didn’t approach it that way at all.” More HERE.

Spike Jonze’s ‘where the wild things are’ is incredibly going into 25 days of re-shoots. Apparently Universal found his vision too darn weird. Find out more via FirstShowing HERE.
